Omega seismic data processing software, now available for license, accurately and efficiently processes
land, marine, and transition zone environments
time or depth data
2D, 3D, and 4D surveys
isotropic and anisotropic (TTI and VTI) velocity fields
multicomponent data
reservoir-to-basin scale projects.
Its four major components make it a completely flexible and scalable system:
Interactive desktop
Manage seismic data and seismic projects, build processing workflows, view QC processing results, visualize and analyze seismic data, and interactively generate statics and velocity solutions.
Omega Infrastructure
A database-driven project model, automated data management, and detailed history, enable you to concentrate on the geophysics.
Geophysical Algorithms
Over 400 algorithms in three packages: Foundation, Time, and Depth are available. Additional advanced algorithms are available, including reverse time migration (RTM), adaptive beam, Gaussian packet migration, and 3D GSMP generalized surface multiple prediction.
Omega Integration
Integrate the compute power and algorithm base of the Omega system with the visualization canvas of Petrel software for more advanced geophysical workflows.
Data access is made more efficient by the Oracle database, which stores all project information. And information need only be entered once for multiple users to work on the same seismic survey.
The project manager application enables you to divide seismic surveys into different processing steps, e.g., demultiple, velocity analysis, or different vintages in 4D acquisition. Monitor processing workflows easily and at various levels of detail and track the history of datasets to understand workflows, algorithm parameters and velocities that have been used to modify a dataset.
Increase your productivity and let the Omega system manage and control routine tasks like outputting data to disk, archiving, and retrieving data. You can also schedule jobs and manage large job queues.
Use batch production processing to explicitly parallelize algorithms, subdivide seismic surveys, and dispatch data to multiple compute nodes within a cluster. We use this system daily at our processing centers worldwide to process seismic data efficiently and accurately.
The Omega processing system is available for license in three packages depending on processing requirements:
Foundation Package contains all the infrastructure and applications to run the Omega system and algorithm package and to carry out basic QA/QC on seismic data.
Time Package extends the Foundation Package and includes algorithms to run a full 3D time migration, as well as premigration processing (e.g., noise attenuation, demultiple, statics), velocity analysis, and pre and poststack time migrations.
Depth Package contains additional algorithms enabling depth processing, including algorithms to run CIP tomography and pre and poststack depth imaging. The seismic velocity plug-in is needed for depth imaging.
