SEA 3D for GeoViz

Advanced seismic volume interpretation from Foster Findlay Associates (ffA)

Schlumberger has joined forces with Foster Findlay Associates Ltd. (ffA) to bring you direct access to SEA 3D, ffA Seismic Engineering Application, in the GeoViz 3D interpretation and visualization application.

SEA 3D for GeoViz offers a flexible and powerful combination of advanced interactive tools for rapid, objective volume interpretation.SEA 3D is the first third-party software to connect interactively to GeoViz through the new GeoViz application programming interface (API). It processes volumes previously loaded in GeoViz and produces results immediately visible in your 3D view, ready to be used within your interpretation workflow.

The Schlumberger-ffA joint development reflects both companies' commitment to create the best-in-class software solution for converting 3D seismic data into valuable information.

Benefits

  • Interactive connection to GeoViz brings easy integration of the SEA 3D tools into interpretation workflows
  • Results immediately available in GeoViz
  • Simple interface helps you to quickly become familiar with the tools
  • Based on proven technology developed in collaboration with O&G majors
  • Objective and repeatable interpretations allow you to consider different scenarios
  • Leads to more efficient cycle times
  • Gives rapid insight into sedimentary environments, deposition trends and reservoir architecture
  • Provides detailed understanding of reservoir geometry, structure activity and pattern, both at field scale and intra-reservoir scale

Key Components

SEA 3D offers an abundance of functionality organized into four distinct, but complementary, components:

  • SeisMine--noise reduction, body labeling and sculpting. SeisMath--single and multitrace attributes generation and combination
  • SeisApps/StructApp--3D instantaneous dip and azimuth attribute volumes
  • SeisApps/StratApp-stratigraphic analysis workflow, definition of sediment deposition. ffA--a GeoQuest technology partner
