GPU based performance

A key innovation in the GXL system is the implementation of GPU enabled software. PCI has re-engineered key workflows to not only make it possible to distribute the workload through parallel processing, but also to speed up the computations via the GPU. Based on nVidia's CUDA API, GXL workflows can speed up processing over conventional single CPU systems by as much as 60 times.

Real Time Footprint Display

The footprint display provides a visual representation of progress for processing jobs that are performed by GXL. As images are ingested and make their way through the system, the footprints that represent the extents of the imagery on the ground are created, and their status updated as the individual images make their way through the end to end processing chain.View the screenshots below:

Job Processing System

The Job Processing System is your entry point to GXL. It allows you to submit processing jobs, track progress, control processing nodes, as well as insert QA/QC breakpoints as required.

WorkflowsData IngestEmail Notification System

GXL can be configured to trigger automated emails, sending you information such as processing success rates, and any errors encountered.

This allows you to remotely monitor the system and keep track of production to minimize downtime.

GXL is designed to automatically recognize data formats and sensors, applying the relevant data ingest routine automatically. Additional processing occurs at the Data Ingest step, including automatic Ground Control Point collection. This provides the necessary information for automated image corrections along the GXL end to end processing chain.

Individual software components can be joined to form end to end processing chains, or workflows. These workflows have been completely re-engineered for GXL in order to take advantage of multiple CPUs and GPUs, resulting in significant gains in processing speeds.

Orthorectification

Parallel processing and GPU based performance provides significant speed improvements over conventional, single processing node systems to compute Rational Polynomial Functions and perform orthorectification in a fully automated manner, with or without Ground Control Points (GCPs).

The PanSharpening workflow fuses multi-spectral and panchromatic image data together, forming a high resolution multi-spectral dataset. Our pan sharpening routines yield extremely high quality output, providing stunning results.

Mosaic Preparation

This automated and GPU enhanced workflow collects information across all scenes in a project to determine optimal colour balancing, create cutlines, and determine preferred z-ordering, providing all necessary elements to create high quality mosaics.
