The Open Genomics Engine (OpenGE) is an open source project for analyzing and interpreting high-throughput sequencing data. The framework is free, easy to install and use; and enables comparative analysis of cancer genomes. OpenGE is extensible and supports the management of analysis pipelines composed of existing tools. Furthermore, OpenGE includes newly developed and modified versions of existing tools that have been optimized for parallel processing on CPUs and GPUs to maximize performance on commodity hardware.

The software is currently available as binaries for Linux and Mac OS, or as source. Future releases will include VMWare and Amazon EC2 images.

The mission of OpenGE is to advance cancer genomics by streamlining and accelerating the analysis of genomes for the cancer research community.
